Communication and Dissemination activities:
This work package is designed to increase the impact of COMPACT on the various communities of interest,
specifically: scientists/researchers, industrial entities including SMEs, governments, public administrations and
other relevant stakeholders.
The objectives of WP6 can be summarized as follows:
• Close contact with Local PA and other relevant stakeholders to inform them about the progress of the project.
• Dissemination of results taking advantage of all available online tools, i.e. website, social networks, etc.
• Publication of results in peer-reviewed scientific journals with open access, attendance to conferences and
workshops.
• Promotion of professional links between the consortium and external stakeholders by creating and maintaining
communication channels and partnerships to boost cooperation for the exploitation of the project results.
In a nutshell, WP6’s overarching goal will be to promote the COMPACT results. To this end, WP6 will benefit
from the participants’ existing networks to form a quadruple-helix collaboration commitment among leading
companies, research centres, local PA and universities and to collaborate with relevant funded projects in Europe in
alignment with the aims of Horizon2020.
CDA will promote meetings, workshops and ICT based advices in order to bring the results of
Compact inside and outside the Municipality.
There will be 5 use cases, based on audience type: i) Municipality Managers - Specific meetings, in
collaboration with the ICT department Engineers with the objective of gaining security awareness by
creating new security-in-mind working policies and ideas for security promoting. ii) Municipality
ICT technicians - training on site for right implementation of software and policies inside the ICT
structure; iii) Municipality Workers - eLearning events/workshops about information and data
security, related to their activities and the possible threats. Training and explanation of new security
procedures; iv) Students - School meetings for security awareness; v) Citizens - Specially designed
Afragola’s Website section and public advices will aware citizens about possible threats and new
security policies applied.
Scenarios, Human factors and Legal/Ethical aspects:
The objectives of WP2 include:
• Technology review update
• Elicitation of User, Technical and Business Requirements
• Definition of use cases and scenarios
• Investigation and integration of legal and ethical aspects, and integration in the COMPACT platform
• Psychological studies to understand the human factor, and in particular to derive concepts for awareness
interventions
• Modelling the community of LPAs
Validation and Demonstration in Operational Environment:
WP5’s objective is the validation of the COMPACT platform by means of the use case applications against their
requirements. This WP drives the validation through use cases in operational environments of the project outcomes
which will be exploited and disseminated (through WP6 and WP7) to interested stakeholders and a wide audience,
proving the benefits arising from the adoption of COMPACT technologies.
After, the use cases definition in WP2, the use cases will be used in this WP to validate the COMPACT framework,
benchmark it and validate it against the use case requirements.
Exploitation:
The aim of this work package is to maximize the results and achievements of the project through the development
and execution of an effective exploitation addressing both the Public Administration sector and other government
and private sectors. The main objectives for this work package are:
• Define an effective exploitation strategy in agreement with the consortium partners that addresses both
commercial exploitation as well as the adoption of the services, products and content developed by the project;
• Develop and implement exploitation plans of the project aligned with the market trends both as a whole and for
each partner individually;
• Develop collaboration and best practice for the sharing of information security data within the public
administration sector and with relevant champions and stakeholders.
